I just finished reading the Wikipedia article about what building has been chosen for the main WTC building. I said to myself, “WHAT!?” It just isn’t right to not rebuild the Twin Towers. I remember seeing the Towers from my window all the way in Woodbridge, NJ (about 2 driving hours from NYC) and think, “wow I’m so close to NYC, cool!” It was my beacon, telling me where I was, almost like a compass. It would be a shame to never see that beacon again.

This could possibly be the most patriotic thing for anyone who is an American during this time in history. To rebuild what our enemies think they have taken from us. No other buildings will look the way the Twin Towers did on the Manhattan skyline. The American people can once again have a majestic and beautiful site to see, and the deepest sense of patriotism while gazing upon the Twin Towers II.

Why isn’t this done yet? NYC just doesn’t look or feel right without the towers. I don’t want any “Freedom Towers” or any such nonsense either, just rebuild the towers exactly the way they were, straight from the original blueprints.

Rebuilding larger twin towers should be the only option. I wholeheartedly agreed with this idea years ago when Donald Trump advocated it. There are just so many reasons and all have been expressed by many. Just please do it!

Rebuild the Twin Towers *exactly* as they were. They were an iconic part of the NY Skyline and since 9/11 have been immortalized as the most visible symbol of our strength, resilience, and determination overcome everything out adversaries would throw against us. That was how the NY Skyline was, and that is how the NY Skyline should be again.

I worked downtown for many years, loved having lunch in the plaza near the Towers. In 1993 I went through the PATH station a few hours before it was bombed, and realize that the toll could have been much worse that day. A week after 9/11, I went back to the site, and like everyone else the absence of the Towers was overwhelming. I knew someone who was killed that terrible day. We can’t bring back those who were lost, but we can and should rebuild the Twin Towers.

An excavated piece of land does not honor the lives lost on 9/11. The proposed Freedom Tower does not properly honor them. Rebuilding the twin towers is only way to go. It does not only honor the lives lost, but it shows that we as a nation, can stand strong and overcome. It shows that we cannot be weakened, but only made stronger. Those two glorious towers would show that the memories of those lost stand tall in our hearts. And by rebuilding the twin towers, it shows that we will never forget.

Please rebuild the twin towers..when i was younger i used to look out the window and when i saw the twin towers I KNEW I was in New York….the Freedom Tower would not be the same! I loved those buildings and building something not similar at all is just terribe! LONG LIVE THE WORLD TRADE CENTERS AND BRING THEM BACK!! BIGGER..BETTER (even though they couldnt be much better)..STRONGER like the design they showed on youtube pretty much the same except stronger and one extra floor on each building!!

the twin towers should be rebuilt brick by brick, one floor higher as a big f.u. to bin laden…they were the most majestic of all buildings in the world, the guardians of manhattan and of all ny city…i never tired of looking at them and would love to gaze at them one more time…i am thankful i got to go to the roof once in my life and would love to again…please no replacement…rebuild the same…there wont be a dry eye in the city as the rise once again…god bless all 911 victims…

I might only be a 17 year old guy who has been a New Yorker his whole life living on Long Island. But I can still remember the time very very clearly before 9/11 in the late 90’s when I was always amazed by the New York City skyline and the Twin Towers. I was so stunned by these beautiful buildings that I was completely shocked when 9/11 happened. The point to all of this is to Rebuild the World Trade Center and make our city whole once more. Because if we don’t do anything, who will?

I could not agree more that the Twin Towers should be built bigger and better than ever. Why must we be so slow wasting our time with red tape when the answer is so obvious. I love this plan and would contribute financially and in any other way I could to see it become a reality. And if your worried about another attack, park the USS Ronald Reagan in the Hudson. Nothing should deter our way of life. Good job to the planners.

I have never seen the world trade center in my life becuse I was born in 1994. I would really love to see the towers rise in the NYC skyline instead of “the pile of junk” Freedom tower. The WTC are my favorite buildngs even though they are gone. I build them with legos and I know basically more than 87 percent of their history.

The last time I have seen the Twin Towers was on August 25, 2001. 2 weeks before the attacks. As a Brooklyn-born woman raised in NJ I believe that the Twin Towers weren’t just 2 buildings; they were the heart of New York. Any immigrant who comes here to the US to become a citizen, the first he or she will look at aside from Lady Liberty will be the Twin Towers. I HATE the new 1 World Trade Center tower. IT STINKS!!! REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS AND LET’S REBUILD THE PRIDE OF NEW YORK!!!!

Just because Pataki is too afraid to rebuild the very Towers that were attacked, doesn’t mean he can abuse his power. His idea is not the Freedom Tower. It is the FEAR Tower, and only serves as an example of American paranoia. The idea to rebuild the original buildings is not a dream. Architects have presented actual models of a rebuilt design, adding appropriate safety features that the Port Authority ignored in the 1960s. I have personally seen the top of the WTC, and we deserve better!

If the Statue of Liberty was struck on 9/11, we wouldnt even have an argument in whether to rebuild it or not.
The twin towers represented something more than offices and steel, it was the symbol of western civilization. It would be a disgrace if they are not rebuilt.
I am going to resent the Freedom Tower for the rest of my life if it is erected.

I love New York city and growing up in NJ, it always felt like a second home to me. Traveling is one of my greatest passions and after all I’ve seen, nothing is as great a site as that skyline we had on Sept 10, 2001 and before. The Twin Towers along with the Empire State Building are the greatest sites I’ve ever seen!

Our government has allowed them to win. Between not capturing him and not rebuilding what New York needs and deserves. Not just NY, but the country and the world deserves

My father brought us to America when I was just a small child from Moscow, Russia. I love New York City and my father worked in the Twin Towers. We would go to the towers to visit every weekend, and I never got tired of it. The Twin Towers were an important part of not only New York City, but of America. Here now, without them, it just feels like something is missing. It seems almost criminal to take away what so many want back. My father said he would gladly return. I think we should rebuild!

As I walked over the 59th street bridge leaving Manhattan on 9/11/01 I looked at the smoke that was the World Trade Center and thought we’ll be determined & rebuild. The thought of not putting them back up is unimaginable to me.
Don’t let them take away our famous skyline! Then they really have made a difference besides taking all of those lives. We must do this to show they haven’t won. Rebuild the Twin Towers!

The World Trade Center IS one of the biggest and greatest landmarks in New York and in United States history.
The Port Authority is stupid for trying to reshape Manhatten’s famous skyline with something so pointless as the Freedom Tower, or as “THEIR” so called One World Trade Center, which is a huge slap in the face to the Twin Towers, for frauding the North Tower’s original name.

I can’t believe I found this site! This was my fierce belief on that terrible day - that they should be put right back up! Not only do they belong there, they’d be two extended middle fingers to those who thought they could bring America down with the Towers. Every other design I’ve seen has been a hideous atrocity. I worked in Lower Manhattan as they were going up, friends and family members worked there and/or were first responders. NY deserves to have its Twin Towers BACK!

I was on the fence about this issue until I saw Ward last night. To call the Twin Towers nothing more than Real Estate was low and offensive and I’ve had enough! He slithered his way out of answering the demands of 9/11 families and the NYFD/PD. I’m now sickened by their plan and what it ’stands’ for. 20 or 30 years from now we’ll look at the once mighty Twins in photos etc. and go “why didn’t we just rebuild”? I’m 100% behind you guys now!
