    Rebuild the Twin Towers, and Defend Them.
    What better tribute to all whom were murdered and perished there, and in the Shanksville field, and at the Pentagon, on that fateful day.

    Please rebuild the towers.

    Nothing can bring back all who were lost nor the towers that fell on 9/11. It’s time to raise a sign of hope to the USA and let the world know that we as a people are still strong and will never give up.

    I think they should be rebuilt the same way.

    I’ve lived in south Mississippi all my life, but fell in love with the WTC when I saw King Kong as a child. I began learning about all of the engineering innovation that went into the construction of this amazing piece of American architecture. I had always planned to visit Manhattan one day specifically to go to the top of the World Trade Center. This plan would be the next best thing, not that Freedom Tower BS! Kudos to you guys, I hope all goes well. Looking forward to visiting!

    I would really like to see those beautiful monuments built once again. I really hope you get your project to be built. Keep on trying and never give up!

    The Twin Towers should be rebuilt as close as possible to the original design. To do anything else is to admit defeat and allow the terrorists to permantly change the Manhattan skyline.

    My sister & I (15 & 9 at the time of 9/11)were glued to the TV that morning & ever since had the urge to go to NYC hopeful that by the time we were older, saved up & planned our trip, the new WTC would be well under way. We were so disappointed to learn of the final design of the Freedom Tower. It is a slap in the face to all those who lost their lives, to the families left behind & to America as a country. The Twin Towers should be rebuilt. When we arrive in NY we want to see the Twin Towers..

    As a former NJ resident, I watched from my bedroom window as the towers were built, gazed at them from my college dorm and saw them fall from the office building I worked at. I had to move away. It made me sick to see them gone.

    The skyline’s so empty now. The design is better as well. Everyone I talk to thinks they should go back up!

    Im from Northern Ireland and it’s been my dream to live in New York and join The Port Authority Police Department since i heard of the 9/11 attack. A dream i plan to see through once i turn 21 in a few years, I think rebuilding the Twin Towers is a wonderful idea, both as a mark of respect for the men and women who lost their lives that day, and to show the terrorists that America will recover from this terrible tragedy, to finally complete the skyline again, its a terrific idea.

    My brother was just deployed to Afghanistan (8/22/08) In early April me a my brother went to New Jersey to pick up a car I purchased on E-Bay, we had never been to New York we decided to fly into La Guardia airport, rent a car and pay our respects. 9/11 is the reason my bother joined the Army. We believe the Twin Towers should always be Twin Towers! I’ve followed the rebuilding online and I’ve never liked the current Freedom tower (or any single Tower scenario).This is why I signed this petition.

    We just have to have the New York Skyline back which we all came to love and treasure!

    The Freedom Tower has already been plagued with problems, and is costing FAR too much money and is, in my honest opinion, rather odd looking…

    Rebuilding the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre Complex will show the rest of the world that whatever is destroyed can be rebuilt the way it was, just how monuments during both world wars were rebuilt and reconstructed after being destroyed.

    The compelling argument for a rebuilt of a structure similar to the old twin towers is the the ‘STATEMENT’ NYC would give to the world. Be assured Millions will appreciate a 115th floor view! May people argue about the simple design, but this should lead to a solution of a twin tower design and a breathtaking tall structure towering above all other skyscrapers in Manhattan.

    Please rebuild the Twin Towers. They are a symbol of peace and hope and without them, all is lost. We cannot let them win. We have to stand up for whats right and we need to build bigger, taller, and stronger towers. We must.

    For us, the “rest of the world” people, NYC is a symbol. NYC without its twin towers is like Paris without the tower, Egypt without the pyramids, Australia without Ayers Rock, Moscu without the Kremlin. For us, the “Fear Tower” symbolizes the end of an era. Once the Fear Tower is topped, USA will never be the land of the free and the home of the brave. USA will be the land of the fearful. It is sad for us. Is it sad for you, americans? I hope it is too.

    I am from upstate and I joined after sept. 11. I wonder why it is taking so long to rebuild in a major American city. After we have invaded and started rebuilding two foriegn countries. It’s a shame. Rebuild the twin towers.

  • signature permalink Erik Arnone   All Other Americans

    Please rebuild the Twin Towers! Doing this would show the rest of the world that we can overcome even the darkest of times and it would also demonstrate America’s bravery and ability to stand as a united nation.

    It’s because the Freedom Tower sucks.
    And I never got to visit the towers in person.

  • signature permalink Corey Longmire   All Other Americans

    please rebuild the wtc both towers better and even taller than they were. i believe it would be a great step to healing the wound the 9/11 has caused. i hate the Freedom Tower it so ugly and it only one tower on top of that. yuck. I love the Twin Towers it was great symbol of my nation.

  • signature permalink Mitch Clark   Citizens of Other Nations

    If we let the “Freedom Tower” be built, it will undermine the great nation of the United States of America. If we rebuild the Twin Towers exactly the same or taller, it will send a clear message to all of America’s adversaries. You cannot change us for long. I recently traveled to New York City and was trying to figure out where the Twin Towers were. I should not have had to ever do that. I want to be able to look at New York’s skyline and say, “There are the Twin Towers.”

    I love New York City since i was 8 years old.
    9/11 was the worst day of my life.
    The second worst day of my life, was the day that i saw the Freedom “Fear” Tower Project for the first time.
    Please, don´t do that with our classic Manhattan skyline.
    Bring our twin towers back!!
    Please, we need the TWIN TOWERS 2.
    I miss the sunset on the “top of the world” with a friendly tower by my side…
    NY, LOVE YOU FOREVER.

    It is my ardent wish to see these 2 towers rebuilt to show the damned bastards that were in on this assault to the American psyche.

    Rebuild this grand icon of America’s (and the world’s) constant yearning for freedom and goodwill. The F. T. looks OK, but the spire that reduces actual “true” floor levels is cowardly and screams, “We’re scared that they’ll attack us again.” Also, the extra emphasis on the glass surface seems to say, “Those old towers just weren’t elegant enough,” which is insulting to our pride in USA’s rich architectural history. Finally, the name “Freedom” is redundant, as any US icon has freedom implied.

    i think that the wtc should be rebuilt to show america’s strength and that we refuse to change for alquida and to support the survivors and victims families… how could we forget with them there agian

  • signature permalink James Meyers *   All Other Americans

    I think that as long as the survivors from the wtc and victoms families are in agreement that they should rebuild in honor of all that suffered and died that day, then its the job of new york city, its officials, and the federal goverment to make it a reality. Secondly, as an american citizen we should send a message to Bin lodin and Alquida that evil never wins. GOD BLESS AMERICA, AND THOSE APPOINTED OVER US. AND GOD BLESS NEW YORK.

    we definitly need to rebuild and restore the memorys of those who died in the 9/11 attack. we should also build to prove to the world that america wont just lay down and lose.

    Raising the towers anew, strengthened and proud before the world, is the ultimate expression and proof of American heart, resilience and rejection of surrender to evil.

    We owe it to the victims of the September eleventh attacks;

    We owe it to all the other victims of terrorism around the world;

    We owe it to America;

    We owe it to every other democratic state in the world that believes in the values of freedom and peace;

    We owe it to the men and women in uniform, who make such massive sacrifice in order to get to the root of the problem;

    But most of all;

    We owe it to ourselves.

  • signature permalink Sam Lewis *   Citizens of Other Nations

    We owe it to ourselves and the people whose lives were lost to re-build the twin towers. That is a fact.

  • signature permalink Jennifer Kemp   All Other Americans

    I cannot think of a more important symbolic collective endeavor as a country than to rebuild the Twin Towers. The void we’re experiencing in our morale, dignity as well as the pain in our hearts will not have a chance to repair if they are not rebuilt. It is the only way. Let’s stop speaking of the great things our country has acheived in the past and show ourselves and our children what is still possible. To keep liberty a reality and not just a word - it takes courage and work.

    As a former resident of New York City and a practicing attorney in Florida I want the Twin Towers (or some variation of two towers - modernized) to be built at the site. Don’t build something different, tell the terrorists if you knock it down (we’ll hunt you down), and rebuild anything that you touch. It would be much more a memorial to those who died to rebuild the towers as opposed to building something different.

  • signature permalink Matthew Peterson   Citizens of Other Nations

    New York needs its towers back! It’s the only way to bring the city back to its former glory.

  • signature permalink Graham Poor   Metro New Yorkers

    Yes. This is exactly what I thought everyone would do without debate.

    Think of the result of not rebuilding:
    Every time we look at a picture of New York, we will think “Pre 9/11″ vs “Post 9/11″. If we do not restore the skyline we in effect create a perpetual advertisement for the success of the terrorist attack. A propaganda piece that will last forever.

    For us New Yorkers who navigated by the Towers the restoration will produce stronger healing.

    Of course we will not forget and cannot forget but the new towers cannot and should not be identical. The upgrade would be like a well healed wound, the pain of the negative space of the towers would be gone, with the small difference remaining as a scar of the painful event we have recovered from, but never can completely erase.

    It does not encourage terrorists, to the contrary. (We didn’t leave the hole in the Pentagon did we?) Instead it proves that terrorist cannot destroy America’s iconic structures because unlike the Pyramids they are part of a living society, the vacuum that destroying these buildings created naturally will result in the same building raising again. Ultimately then the terrorists will not have knocked down the Towers they only will have accelerated their upgrade.

    New York is not New York without the Twin Towers. Evil took away the originals. Hope and faith and good old-fashioned American ingenuity, perseverance & gumption will re-build them to their former glory. Bring back the Twin Towers!

    California love goes out to you all!

    Rebuild them now, just like they were or bigger even. It is time to do what everyone knows must be done, bring them Back. None of this Freedom Tower nonsense. Show the bastards that we can pick ourselves right back up from the ashes no matter what gets thrown at us. It would signify that we can come back just as strong as we were before if not stronger.

    Please lets build the WTC back the way they were! I’ve been dreaming about this and now its actually happening! The Freedom Tower is a mistake!

  • signature permalink Adam Letavish   All Other Americans

    I want the Twin Towers back. I’ll admit, I was in second grade at the time of 9/11 and I didn’t even know what the buildings meant to the world. But now I do know and I know NYC needs those buildings back, not a gay building that doesn’t show Freedom it shows Fear. I went to NYC July 2008 and seeing a hole in the ground that should be the WTC being rebuilt made me mad so I hope those buildings are rebuilt because they should not be replaced by a building that no one will want to look at!
