Taxpayers can bail out Wall Street, but if we do not rebuild Twin Towers at the World Trade Center, we will pay an incalculable price. If we are ready to be second-rate, we will get what we deserve, as a city, a nation, and a people. But what would be so sad, not just for us, but for everyone, is that there is no other place on earth that could ever be what we might have been.
