We, the undersigned, share the belief that nothing could be more inspiring to our people, or disheartening to our enemies, than Twin Towers, at least as tall as before in every respect, soaring above Ground Zero.
We believe that the devastation of September 11, 2001 clouded the picture long after the rubble was cleared away and that a thorough public examination of the rebuilding option is overdue and now required before proceeding on an unalterable course.
We recognize no financial or political roadblocks that cannot be overcome if rebuilding the Towers is the will of the people. And, we see no conflict between stunning Twin Towers and a noble Memorial, which belong together on this site that means so much to us all.
We submit that there is only one way to truly heal the skyline of Manhattan and the heart of America: Rebuild the Twin Towers. Doing anything less would leave a permanent scar on the face of New York and diminish a legendary city.

The towers of world trade center had always been an American symbol. I am Brazilian and here in Brazil all want the towers as it was before and I am certain that everybody also wants this. I do not know to say English, I used a translator to say these words, but valley imposes a fine on an effort it reconstructs this project of the towers therefore is what more it is come close to the americano symbol!

As torres do World Trade Center sempre foram um símbolo americano. Eu sou brasileiro e aqui no Brasil todos querem as torres como eram antes e estou certo de que todas as pessoas também querem assim. Aquele dia…11 de setembro de 2001 um dia tão triste, tão trágico para tantas famílias, o mundo inteiro acompanhou pedindo a Deus que tudo acabasse bem. Mas New York sem as Torres Gêmeas Não é New York. Ainda não conheço NY mas pretendo visita-la ano que vem, sei que não encontrarei as torres lá, mas gostaria muito de saber que estão sendo reconstruídas outras torres iguais as anteriores. Eu vi o projeto atual da ‘torre da liberdade’ achei ‘’ridículo'’. Dou a maior força para que sejam reconstruídas as verdadeiras torres, pois elas sim são um ícone da historia, e se precisar assino mil vezes para que as Torres Gêmeas voltem.

Since 9/11 I became shocked as to why those buildings came down.
I have loved NY always and look forward to visit there for the first time, but not without the twin towers in the city!
The project for TT II is well underway and it seems the best solution.
I don’t like the Freedom Tower and all those ’skyscrapers’ which are not comparable to the original buildings.
I hope to see the skyline again with those twin buildings rebuilt again.Fred from México.

I always had a fascination for the World Trade Center Twin Towers. I was devastated when 9/11 occured. I along with thousands of others never had a chance to see the WTC in person and rebuilding it not only proves America’s stand as a strong country, it also shows that it has made a comeback and nothing can stop it.

I was really fortunate enough to visit the twin towers on 2 occasions during a short holiday to Manhatten in October 1993, Ironically, a few months after a previous terrorist attack. I visited the outside viewing area from the top of the South Tower both at day, and at dusk. The view of the city captured my heart. Nowhere on Earth can give you that amazing feeling or view of the best city in the world, bar none.
Don’t let these brainless maniacs take our way of life from us. Rebuild the towers. -

The twin towers were a beautiful landmark of the city. Those unmistakeable towers were unique to the city and played a big role in the heart and spirit of the city of New York. A classic work of art unlike the plans for a trendy fashionable new Freedom Tower which would quite frankly stick out like a sore thumb amongst the rest of the Manhattan skyline. As a future resident of New York City, I hope for nothing more than to see these towers stand tall and strong, regaining the beauty of the New York skyline.

Of all the tragedies in recent years, “9/11″ hit me the most. I was just 7 years old when news of the attacks came. Many innocent people perished that day. Now, America is being run by incompetent politicians who further destroyed its image in the eyes of the world. It hasnt really affected me until recently when I did some reasearch into several different areas of 9/11. Although I live in the UK seeing the New York skyline without the towers is incomplete and shows the terrorists won. I have always wanted to visit the towers. Please rebuild them.
It’s been almost ten years and still nothing. If the new One World Trade Center is all we’ve got, then at least give it a twin. For thirty years the New York skyline as we knew it had two towers as the focal point; if they don’t come back, the terrorists have won. Deepest respect to those who lost their lives and those who worked to save them, and I believe restoring the skyline and the original World Trade Center complex would be a true tribute.
The Twin Towers should be rebuilt in memory of those lost on 9/11. When someone is down, they get back up, and so should the Twin Towers.

the twin towers should be rebuilt, its common sense, why build another building that isnt the same and only 1 of them, they should be rebuilding the twin towers pretty much totally identical to the first ones tho maybe a bit taller, stronger and more resistant, the 1st ones were completed in 1970 its now 2010 there is alot more advancments in modern technology and construction though this idea will likely fail as the new single tower has already far began construction. rebuild the twin towers WTC.

The twin towers need to be rebuilt; they fit in with New York much better than this other design, and as we are mourning the loss of the buildings as well as the loss of life, it makes sense to attempt to heal some of these wounds with a bigger and better World Trade Center.

The twin towers were beautiful buildings, and although I don’t see greater sense in this petition I give my vote for it, because if you don’t fight, then you’ve already lost.
I never got the chance to climb to the top of the WTC (always saw it in ‘Kevin Lost in New York’ at the beginning) but it was taken away from me with the attacks. I admire the architecture and I think it matches the skyline much better than a supermodern building and that it’s NOT a vilification of the victims of 9/11.
America without the Twin Towers is like Microsoft without a computer. For the sake of all that makes sense, rebuild the Twin Towers. Standing, they would represent a nation of great power, for which you should be proud. Freedom Tower represents a nation defeated by terrorists, for which you will be ashamed.
I have been on google earth manhatten and compared silversteins wtc wth the twin towers 2 design, and cant stop looking at the twin towers 2 wth its relation to the rest of the skyline and it looks brilliant.Larry Silvertein’s wtc just looks crap in relation to the skyline.

Build them for the families who lost a loved one, to the hero’s who gave there lives, to the American people, build them for the world…..show the ones involved that they will not win.

As a firefighter I will mourn for all firefighters and medical staff that lost their lives at the attack even if I never new them. I only donated a few mony but I hope it will help to hit our target.
