The Twin Towers Alliance Petition The statement below rings as true in 2011 as it did in 2006. The thousands of comments that have been left over the years are just the tip of an iceberg. The question for those who consider adding their names to the petition is not will new state-of-the-art Twin Towers be built, which no one knows, but should new Twin Towers be built, with which most of us have always agreed. We, the undersigned, share the belief that nothing could be more inspiring to our people, or disheartening to our enemies, than Twin Towers, at least as tall as before in every respect, soaring above Ground Zero. We believe that the devastation of September 11, 2001 clouded the picture long after the rubble was cleared away and that a thorough public examination of the rebuilding option is overdue and now required before proceeding on an unalterable course. We recognize no financial or political roadblocks that cannot be overcome if rebuilding the Towers is the will of the people. And, we see no conflict between stunning Twin Towers and a noble Memorial, which belong together on this site that means so much to us all. We submit that there is only one way to truly heal the skyline of Manhattan and the heart of America: Rebuild the Twin Towers. Doing anything less would leave a permanent scar on the face of New York and diminish a legendary city. Citizens of Other Nations

I was deeply affected by the atrosities of 9/11. The world will never be the same again for the generations that witnessed this horror. It cannot be undone but in my view, to heal the wounds best possible, we should have a rebuild of the original, beautiful towers. Anything less will be a perpetual reminder of the horrors that went down that day and I prefer to put that behind me. I want to honor the innocent victims but I don’t want such a visible reminder, that the terrorists were “succesful” in their horrible endeavor. Bring back the twins! I don’t mind that it’s in an improved, and safer version, but there should be a set of twin towers at ground zero.
Newyork is sad enough over the losses of our people, the least you can do is restore Americas icon to cheer people up and show the world what America is really made of! It seems like America only cares about money when money’s not everything. There are plenty of people willing to donate money to get those twins rebuilt instead of people having to live with the unfit freedom tower. Why must everything that parishes never come back the same or even come back at all? People love to say “that’s life”, but they fail to realize the huge difference between life and people. The actions caused by life is inevitable. The actions caused by people are not. Which means choosing the freedom tower, over the Twin Towers, isn’t life, it’s a Pathetic choice.
Guys i did sign here a long time ago, but i think its time now to let it go, give up. One thing i dispise about the american government, it is they dont give a crap about their people. You are on par with the taliban, and your government is just beyond corrupt. Ten years since 3000 people died and only now do we see any memorial and a building which is a middle finger to the american people. The towers shold have been rebuilt bigger and stronger as a tribute to the people who died, but instead we wait ten years to see a random glass building emerge from that memorial ground, makes me sick. My friends across the pond it is time to come to terms with the fact that the terrorist has won… They destroyed the new york skyline for good. Pathetic.
TTA Note: We looked for an earlier message that we could merge with this one, but couldn’t find one. As for the negative outlook, we will address it in a bulletin, because it is based on an assumption that is widespread, but not as logical as it seems to be.
I was 15 years old the on day of the attacks on America and it is a day I will never ever forget to my dying day! Fast forward 10 years later and I finally get to visit the great city of New York, a dream come true for a young Irishman as myself! While there I had the time of my life but every second of every day the world trade centre and the twin towers were on my mind! The day I went to visit the site or crime scene as I refer to it, it was just a chilling experience for me thinking of all the people that perished that day and all the long strangely for some reason I still expected to look up high into the sky and see those beautiful towers but I saw nothing but a poor attempt at salvaging America’s freedom! So please bring back the Twin Towers!
The Twin Towers Were The Most Beautiful, Perfect & Intresting Structures To Ever Exsist. The Entire Complex Was Outstanding And I Would Have Loved To See The Entire Complex Back But I Understand There Has There Has To Be a Memorial For Those Who Were Lost.
Alhough The Terrorists Took Them From Us That Is An Insentive To Put Them Back Where They Were And Where They Belong!
DONT LET THE TERRORISTS WIN!
TWIN TOWERS FOREVER!
We need to rebuild the twin towers. It’s the only way we can show the terrorists that America has won. It would be cheaper to rebuild the twin towers and would show respect for the 9/11 families, respect to fire fighters and also police officers. I live in Scotland and even I want the twin towers back, everyone does. Lets all do the right thing, It’s not too late to rebuild the twin towers. Scrap towers two and three. I would recommend watching Timothy Mcque on youtube, search rebuild the twin towers and you will find him on web cam video. This man knows what he’s talking about.
The twin towers were a historical landmark, and on the 11th of september these towers were brought down, and ever since that day lower manhattan changed. new york changed. the world changed. the twin towers were in the same league as americas major landmarks. They were a part of american pride, and to lose them is a major blow to the skull. I personally never got to visit them, and I may not live in that country but it seemed a part of me. I want these towers back, and now.
the twin towers fit with the nyc skyline. freedom tower doesnt, it looks to robotic. also, by not rebuilding the twins, we have given the terrorists what they want — to perminantly damage the new york skyline.
new york city will never be the same with out the twin tower and i really want them back and the new one will make new york too futuristic and it will screw up lower Manhattan’s sky line
rebuild the twin towers
I never had the chance to visit them… I want them! NY is not the same without them, USA are not the same without them, the world will never be the same without them!
I love all aspects of architecture and the twin towers were one of my biggest loves. I never had the chance to see them in person but if rebuilt I will at least be able to see their legacy live on.

plz rebuild twins!!!
The wtc twin towers were the unforgettable symbol of a New York.
I was 9 on 9/11. I keep photos of the Twin Towers in various places, like the cover of my college journal, a giant poster in my bedroom etc, to inspire me to always do and be my best, because, to me, the World Trade Center signified and still signifies greatness, and also how short life can be and how we have to make the most of it. I can only imagine how much more inspiring the Twin Towers would be if they were back with all of us. All Goal, No Fear.
NYC will never be the same NYC as long as you don’t rebuild the Twin Towers…
Please bring back the Twins to New York. New York is not New York without the towers. They were and are an icon on the skyline of New York. Freedom tower and other buildings will never become icons. Towers were the power freedom and liberty of America. Since 2001 they became more. I think the real weekness is not rebuild them. America must show the terrorists they will never win no matter what buildings they destroy. Twin Towers II would be stornger and higher and would show the world the terrorists can never destroy an icon. Freedom tower not show this because it is a symple building without own history. Maybe Freedom tower would be a great building somewhere but not here.
