For those of us who have seen the movie Click, seeing two freedom towers built side by side made me feel pure inside. It felt right, and looked like a good memorial and triumph over 9/11. A true mark of victory is to add another mark of victory. Show the terrorist that they didn’t bring us down, but made us stronger.

We need the towers back! its finally starting to hit home that they are gone, the originals. i miss gazing up in wonder at them or riding the elavators. they have to come back, its not the same without them. they symbolized the democratic free world.

Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve always wanted to visit New York because of the World Trade Center that once stood at the southern end of downtown Manhattan. Replacing that ground with the Freedom Tower is not only immoral but weak to our nation. We cannot allow the middle east their victory over us. Bring our towers back!

I and EVERYONE I know want the Twin Towers back, not the monstrosity that’s currently under construction. By rebuilding the new towers in the originals’ image it would be a symbol of America’s resolve and defiance to those who brought them down and to those who would plan another attack like this…

Since the debate began on what to do with the WTC site, I have never been satisfied with the current proposal of the Freedom Tower. Why would we not re-build the twin towers? Give NYC its skyline back. Give America its towering symbols of freedom. God Bless America!

This is by far the best design and best tribute/memorial that could be built. These towers were taken away from us and we need to rebuild them in their likeness. No tribute could be greater.

Osama Bin Laden said it best when he stated that the foundation of all that is American died when the Twin Towers fell. Those towers are a symbol of America. By not building them back, we, as Americans are giving into the terrorist. Building them back taller and stronger only tells them that no matter what they do to us, we will come back stronger than ever…BRING BACK THE TWIN TOWERS!! PLEASE!!! To build anything other than the Towers as they were sends a message to supporters and those responsible for the attacks that they have to power to change who and what were are in here America. It is no insult to those who died and their survivors! It says defiantly that we are stronger than terrorists. The twin towers were built in the 60’s, a time of upheaval and doubt in the American psyche. When they rose above New York it was a testament to the populace of the nation that their country still had the capacity to inspire them… to cradle them… to define them.

The times we live in today are closely paralleled with that decade. We all worry over the future of our nation. Building a single tower where there once were two is unfortunate, but bluntly fortifying it is a travesty.

In September of 2001, I wondered how long it would take to rebuild the Twin Towers. A year? Two years? Five? I never would have guessed we would go as long as 8 years with no progress. JUST REBUILD THEM.

Alot of things don’t make sense to me in this crazy world we all live in, especially what they plan to build at ground zero in NYC, it literally makes me cry when i see pictures/videos of the former twin towers, then seeing a picture of world trade center 1 standing there, it just doesn’t seem right, please please don’t build world trade center 1 just REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS that i want to see and many many other AMERICANS want to see. I just want New York back.

I started studying the 9/11 attacks a year ago when I was 14. I believe that the Freedom Tower is telling the terrorists that took our American landmark they won. If they build the Freedom Tower, we will never have our building back that they took from us. We need to bring back the World Trade Center, taller and stronger than ever. We need to let the terrorists know that we will come back with Twin Towers that were better than before. If we build the freedom towers, they won.

The Freedom Tower is not American. It will only be considered an unwanted shell that stands next the most emotion-dwelling site in this nation. The Freedom tower design is space-like and has akward angles with a fourty story skeleton above its sixty story base. Bring back what Alkida tore down. DO NOT LET THEM WIN! Do not build the Freedom Tower. I am only fifteen years old, but I understand that we will lose our phsycalogical, and physical war, if we do not rebuild what they have taken away.

all we heard from our country’s leader after 9/11 is “we can’t let the terrorists win”; that is exactly what is happening now and will continue to happen as long as these new symbols of defeat stand where symbols of all that america was about used to be. we as a nation should have enuff respect for those who lost their lives on that day, and every day since in a war that isnt getting our history, patriotism, pride, family members, friends, civil servants, countrymen etc. back. we need our towers back.

I admire your hard work to rebuild the twin towers. I think that you should go world wide with this suggestion, all the people in the world that watched the twintowers fall wants see them again. It’s not fair to the people who knew those who perished to build the Freedom towers. It doesen’t belong in Manhattan.

We need to rebuild the twin towers. They need to be taller and more symbolic. The tallest buildings in the world.
TTA Note: Air restrictions over New York would prevent them from being the tallest buildings in the world in actual feet above sea level — but the power of their symbolism would certainly make them the tallest buildings in the hearts of people around the world.

I am absolutely positively begging you to rebuild the towers in the likeness of the original design that Ken Gardner is pushing to build. HIS design is the ONLY design that should ever be passed to replace the original WTC Twin Towers. We MUST rebuild those towers for the sake of the morale and self-esteem of the American people. It’s true terrorists wanted to kill Americans. But, it’s also true that they flipped through pages of pictures of skyscrapers, and decided upon the World Trade Center in New York, because it showed the world just how arrogant America is. It wasn’t arrogant, we showed the world just what we can do when we work together! The World Trade Center was a symbol of strength, and economic power. The new one will now be a symbol of America’s poor, weak, and cowardly ways to the rest of the world! Good job showing the world how cowardly we are with the new smaller World Trade Center!

Thank you for letting me express my disdain for the new World Trade Center. I shouldn’t even call it that, it’s NOT the World Trade Center. It NEVER will be, without those two glorious towers!!
