On March 27th, New York Post columnist Steve Cuozzo wrote a column entitled “Downtown Unraveling” in which he advised: “Don’t bet a dime on the timetables recently announced with great fanfare by developer Larry Silverstein, the Port Authority and the Lower Manhattan Development Corp…” As we like to say in New York: from his mouth to God’s ears.
When enough of the people in charge come to realize that nothing but their own lack of imagination stands in the way of having re-engineered Twin Towers ready to open by 9/11/2011, then we should see this solution finally take precedence over the sad jumble that is being patched together Downtown.
There is such ongoing disarray at the World Trade Center site that we are going to start posting the links to relevant articles together on this page. There is one thing of which we can be sure: Politicans do not want to be found on the wrong side of history, particularly regarding the most significant building project in America.
What should be immediately telltale is how many recent issues are in play.
