We, the undersigned, share the belief that nothing could be more inspiring to our people, or disheartening to our enemies, than Twin Towers, at least as tall as before in every respect, soaring above Ground Zero.
We believe that the devastation of September 11, 2001 clouded the picture long after the rubble was cleared away and that a thorough public examination of the rebuilding option is overdue and now required before proceeding on an unalterable course.
We recognize no financial or political roadblocks that cannot be overcome if rebuilding the Towers is the will of the people. And, we see no conflict between stunning Twin Towers and a noble Memorial, which belong together on this site that means so much to us all.
We submit that there is only one way to truly heal the skyline of Manhattan and the heart of America: Rebuild the Twin Towers. Doing anything less would leave a permanent scar on the face of New York and diminish a legendary city.

I support rebulding the towers: higher, wider and stronger.

If something is going to be built, build the new Twin Towers site. If the new Twin Towers site won’t be built, don’t build anything at all. Both of those decisions are better than the pointless “Freedom Tower” that has no match to New York City whatsoever.

A part of NYC has been taken away, please rebulid the towers!

Rebuild the World Trade Center exaclty as they were. Say no to the freedom Tower. That is wrong. It shows that we are cowards. Don’t let them build a trophy for those terrorists. Build the Twin Towers as they were and a memorial next to it. Do the right thing. I would work there anyday if they rebuilt them because I’d feel much much safer.

Do not falter in the face of terrorism, rebuilding them as they were is the biggest slap in the face to the dastardly terorrists who did it. I fully support rebuilding them the same since they are too iconic to replace in the skyline.

re-build the twin towers.

I always felt they should be rebuilt. Don’t know if anyone would want to work there, but I resent that they were taken from us very much. I always knew I was home when I saw them.

Freedom Tower!?!
1776 feet tall!?!
Please, spare me the ‘patriotic symbolism’. I heard that nonsense two decades ago in the Eastern bloc countries. Rebuild the Towers right where they were and lets get on with life.

Just rebuilt Twin Towers!
Build both of them back! either the way they were, or even taller, same outside design, bottom floors make the WTC Memorial, and upgraded and hi-tech and technologically advanced! Bring back the nyc skyline, the symbol of NYC, the symbol of America, America’s international image to the world, and the symbol of freedom.
I agree that the replacement should include twin towers. I worked in the original WTC Tower II and loved that building.
I never thought about it, but rebuilding the twin towers as they were is THE PERFECT solution.
Please Rebuild!! I wish to wake up and see those Towers outside my window again! Twin Towers II by Kenneth Gardner is the BEST!
Yes, we need our twin towers back…but can’t we do better than the design proposed here?
TTA Note: The beauty of the Twin Towers II plan is that it is structurally ready to build and to surpass the current site plan. That is the most critical element, since this is nothing but a political problem and a political solution is only possible because there is a full-fledged plan ready to construct that would meet the most important imperative: restoring the skyline. The cosmetics of the design are open and responsive to public opinion — that is not something that would create delay.
I live on rector place just 3 blocks from ground zero and I think they should rebuild the way it was. The skyline doesnt look like new york without the towers and it never will if they build this new, bizarre complex.
Thanks,
Jeffrey J. Morris
I really hope that the design changes, I have lived in Manhattan my entire life and miss those two glorious towers, and definitely do not want to see the “Freedom Tower” when I get up in the morning. The name I could care less about, it is just the design that really bothers me, to me it doesn’t blend in with the rich, classic history of what is the great city of New York.
I once came across a picture of the twin towers in a Soviet published atlas circa 1979. Amazing, those buildings were a respected by our friends and enemies alike.
We cannot allow the terrorists to determine our skyline. We must rebuild one of the enduring symbols of America.
What better signal to the world than putting the TT back where they belong, perhaps twenty feet taller.
The only way to replace the emptyness the towers left.
the rebirth of the twin towers would show how strong we are and make NY,NY again and i am behind the donald.
Yes. Rebuild them. Of course.
I moved to Battery Park City from Los Angeles after 9/11 just so that I could be a part of the rebuilding after a devastation, even if it were to buy a bottle of water from the local businesses. I stayed there for 4 years only to have nothing built, (except for WT #7, which belongs to leaseholder). I think we should build the towers back and even a third one too! Do it even better than before, the TRUE American way! Let’s see even a better skyline than before!
Yes, rebuild the Twin Towers to show the world that America can and has risen from travisty. Our tomorrows are brighter, Our resolve is stronger and Our wisdom is greater!!
Build THEM! Show the world what AMERICA can do and what she stands for.
I agree. They should be exactly the same, only one floor taller–as a statement.
YES!!! Build them again plus one more floor for defiance!
Not a Freedom Tower fan. Trade 7 looks great.
I believe that the towers must be made exactly how they once were, to show that even in the face of sheer devastation the American resolve can shine through as bright as ever. And freedom tower? pffft.. Bring back the glorious momuments to the glorious city of New York.
