Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve always wanted to visit New York because of the World Trade Center that once stood at the southern end of downtown Manhattan. Replacing that ground with the Freedom Tower is not only immoral but weak to our nation. We cannot allow the middle east their victory over us. Bring our towers back!

No other buildings will look the way the Twin Towers did on the Manhattan skyline. New York will never be the same without the Twin Towers. I was 12 yrs old when they went down. I always wanted to visit and stand in top of them but I never got the chance. It should be Rebuilt Better and Stronger so my dream to stand on them can become real. REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS!!! so New York will be New York again!!! Since the debate began on what to do with the WTC site, I have never been satisfied with the current proposal of the Freedom Tower. Why would we not re-build the twin towers? Give NYC its skyline back. Give America its towering symbols of freedom. God Bless America!

I’m a born and raised Texan and I’ve always admired the architecture of many of our cities including Manhattan, Chicago, Houston and my own backyard of Dallas.
Before the towers were destroyed I always took pride in the fact that they were so unique and they were ours. The day they fell was surreal cause it really felt like somebody had stolen a piece of America from us. I’ve always supported the idea of rebuilding the steel twins the way they were, if not taller. Please Rebuild them. -

Its been nearly ten years since that tragic day. I was just twelve at the time and as watched every year go by the more i thought that there would be nothing built at the site. And after years viewing awful looking planed designs i saw this one it was one that i loved the most. And i always had a feeling that this one would be the winner regardless of what others said. Lets all come together like we did on that day and rebuild what was taken from all of us that day, ONE FLOOR AT A TIME.

I sincerely hope that your plan to rebuilt the twin towers will prevail instead of the lacklustre Freedom tower. Plus, the memorial you’re suggesting is even more significative than the one that is planned. The twin towers provided lower Manhattan with a strong skyline which was lengendary prior to the attacks. I was only 17 years old when the attacks occured but the old WTC is still a strong part of my imaginary. I can’t imagine New York City without them.

Why isn’t this done yet? NYC just doesn’t look or feel right without the towers. I don’t want any “Freedom Towers” or any such nonsense either, just rebuild the towers exactly the way they were, straight from the original blueprints.

I’m currently living in Jersey City and every time I look beyond the Hudson River it just looks like something is missing. The Twin Towers always struck my eyes as a child. They would be the first thing I’d notice about NYC before the Empire State Building. I grew up in Essex county and even from the right elevation I was able to see the WTC. I truly miss those buildings. New York hasn’t been the same without them. I remember 9/11 perfectly and I really wish that day never happened.

Rebuilding larger twin towers should be the only option. I wholeheartedly agreed with this idea years ago when Donald Trump advocated it. There are just so many reasons and all have been expressed by many. Just please do it!

The current Silverstein plan only seems to accept that the U.S. has failed to defend its confidence and integrity. With a slumping economy and a unforeseen future the best we can do to get ourselves back on a healthy track is to revitalize Lower Manhattan, a.k.a. Financial Capital of the World, and lead the way to a robust America. By rebuilding the Twin Towers, we are showing the world that we are stronger. As current Towers 2, 3, 5 are disputed, we can easily rebuild Twin Towers. Yes We Can!!

Osama Bin Laden said it best when he stated that the foundation of all that is American died when the Twin Towers fell. Those towers are a symbol of America. By not building them back, we, as Americans are giving into the terrorist. For those of us who have seen the movie Click, seeing two freedom towers built side by side made me feel pure inside. It felt right, and looked like a good memorial and triumph over 9/11. A true mark of victory is to add another mark of victory. Show the terrorist that they didn’t bring us down, but made us stronger.
The enemy can only win if we lose our defiance against injustice.
Horrible people who did this. Shouldn’t let them (in a way) win, rebuild them and show that we are stronger!

It’s a puzzle with 2 pieces yet to be found, them pieces are the Twin Towers.

It would be more cost effective to rebuild the Twin Towers that complement the current “One World Trade Center” rendering. Silverstein and the Port Authority should consider dumping Towers 2, 3, 5 and build a second “One World Trade Center” adjacent to the current one being built. You can then add smaller buildings surrounding the complex and keep the current memorial design intact. People would be able to view the memorial from a greater distance and appreciate stronger and safer Twin Towers.
The WTC II plan is absolutley amazing! It would send a very clear message to the entire World about America’s resiliency!

I remember the towers when they were be built and when they were completed. They were something to behold! How many of you search for them in movies shot in New York before 9/11? What is planned to be put in their place is an insult! Rebuild the Towers!
When you were young, made buildings with Lego or Sandcastles at the beach. Lets take sandcastles, you build two. Then somebody comes along and intentionally knocks them both down. Would you rebuild both or just one? Personally, I would rebuild both! One is like admitting defeat. But two, standing taller, signify power and pride. To summerize the above: Rebuild the Twin Towers!
Freedom Tower, along with the rest of the new WTC Complex is completely meaningless, bearing no memory to those who lost their lives on 9/11/01. I cannot emphasize this next point enough… Stop building that monstrosity that is ‘Freedom Tower’ and bring back the icons of the American Economy - The Twin Towers! A poll conducted by MSNBC found that 92% of Americans would want to see the Twin Towers rise from the ground again. 8% want to destroy New York. Pretty conclusive I would say.
First of all, I’m a citizen of other nation. Anyhow, I just want to support in rebuilding the TWIN towers in the WTC site- better, stronger, & taller! in this way we can remember the memories of the wounded hearts of the thousands of people killed/victims on that terrible day, also this is a bolder message to send terrorists that New York or the USA will NOT be defeated. “We can make things possible if we truly believe we can.” Restore the New York skyline to it’s previous beauty.
I just finished reading the Wikipedia article about what building has been chosen for the main WTC building. I said to myself, “WHAT!?” It just isn’t right to not rebuild the Twin Towers. I remember seeing the Towers from my window all the way in Woodbridge, NJ (about 2 driving hours from NYC) and think, “wow I’m so close to NYC, cool!” It was my beacon, telling me where I was, almost like a compass. It would be a shame to never see that beacon again.
New York City should look forward, but must not allow any outside change to be unnaturally imposed on the spirit of this greatest city of the world.

We need the towers back! its finally starting to hit home that they are gone, the originals. i miss gazing up in wonder at them or riding the elavators. they have to come back, its not the same without them. they symbolized the democratic free world.

I was 16 when the twin towers went down and I will never forget that day because the eleventh of september is also my birthday. I´d like the twin towers would be rebuilt and I think this is the best way to get over from the terrorist attack. From Spain!
